How did you get started?

I have always wanted to compete and a local trainer at a gym here in Houston called “Next Level” took a chance with me and sponsored me for my very first show. I placed 2nd, loved the way i felt and looked I’ve been hooked ever since!  Bodybuilding has given me so many tools that I now use in all aspects of my life. Discipline, determination, patience and perseverance. I was very nervous and scared to do my first show because I had no idea what it involved but again after completing the first one and getting 2nd for my first show I knew I wanted to continue on the path of competing. Here i am 7 years later and still rocking and rolling and absolutely loving every single minute of it!

WHAT YOUR DIET CONSISTS OF AND WHY?

My diet consists of 6 small meals a day. I eat every 2 ½ to 3hrs. Each meal contains 4oz of protein and white meat only. This keeps my metabolism going so that I can continue to build lean muscle and burn body fat.

WHAT SUPPLEMENTS DO YOU USE?

I order all of my supplements off of bodybuilding.com. For my protein shakes i use the vanilla whey protein from MRM (it doesn’t have any added hormones or additives etc).

I also use :

  • L-Carnitine 500mg
  • Primal force Green tea extract 500mg
  • Multi-vitamin
  • Multi-mineral
  • Evogen Complex (PRE-Workout)
  • L-Glutamine (POST-Workout & Before Bed)

Example of Diet

  • Meal 1: 1/3 Cup of Oatmeal & 4 Egg whites.
  • Meal 2: 4oz White meat.
  • Meal 3: 1/2 cup Brown Rice, 1 cup Beans, 4oz White meat.
  • Meal 4: Greek Yoghurt, 1/3 cup Mixed berries, 1 scoop MRM Protein.
  • Meal 5: 4oz White meat, Small Salad, 1/2 cup of Green Vegetables & 3 tbsp Low sugar Balsamic vinegar.
  • Meal 6: 1 Scoop Protein, 1 Scoop L-Glutamine.

WHAT DOES YOUR CURRENT WORK-OUT ROUTINE LOOK LIKE?

I train my lower body 2 times a week and upper body once a week. I do two sessions of one hour of Cardio every day and I break it up into two sessions.

WHAT ARE YOUR MAX LIFTS?

I try not to lift heavy, I do 4 sets of each exercise for 20 reps per set. When lifting I try and keep moving the whole time to keep my heart rate up.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE CHEAT MEAL?

Tex-mex Mexican food!! I love queso and chips. My favourite dessert is Tres Leches yum!

WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE BODYBUILDER?

I have a couple – Phil Heath, Jay Cutler & Branch Warren….they all are really so amazing because I understand the hard work that each and everyone of them goes through.
