Something a little different: Home made Crunchy Protein Cereal

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup of millet flakes (could use quinoa flakes and/or oat flakes too)
  • 1/4 Cup of Vanilla brown rice protein powder(could use casein too)
  • 1/2 Tbsp of Fitness fiber (or psyllium)
  • 3/4 Cup of Liquid egg whites

Directions

  1. Mix all the above together with a spoon and spread it onto a cookie tray as flat as possible
  2. Place the above mixture under the grill for 10-15 minutes until it cooks and begins to go golden brown. (180 C)
  3. Take it out from under the grill and proceed to cut it into small pieces.
  4. Place the broken pieces back under the grill for 10 minutes and shake the tray every 5 minutes to ensure the cereal goes brown & crisps up.

Make sure you seal up correctly to avoid them going soft and soggy like normal cereals!                            j
